Something that just came to mind.
Jan. 25th, 2004 08:09 pmYou know, to truly solve our social ills, it would take a hell of a lot more than money to solve them. We can do what we are currently doing, but in reality, not much more without fundamentally changing people's minds and attitudes, which is something we find repugnant as a nation. On the whole, we are against mass social engineering.
We can, however, work with the programs we have in place, maybe fashion better ones, but beyond that not much more. Not that we should stop all programs. We need to help people, work to the common good, attempt to make life easier on the less fortunate. That in itself is good. But to work to completely change the way people think? I can go in for that, because that's what it would really take to solve the problems.
I know this isn't very clear, but I wanted to get it down before I went on to something else.

Something new I like . . .
Jan. 25th, 2004 09:03 pmI'm really liking an Industrial group called Deadstar Assembly that's coming up up in So Fla. I picked up their album at work today. It's not bad, but then again I'm not much of an Industrial fan. I really don't got out of my way for it. . . . usually.
